Hello my fellow Tea lovers. I have another tea review from The Persimmon Tree Tea Company. I always have a great time reviewing tea and this time is no different. The teas that I will be reviewing today is a Black Tea (Lychee Burst) and a White Tea (Rose Mojito).
The Rose Mojito has organic flower-scented white loose-leaf teas, wild roses, organic peppermint and seasonally selected botanicals.
This tea is very mild and light tasting with a kick. It’s one of those teas that won’t punch you in the face with a bouquet of roses. I love the minty-floral scent that I get from this tea when I open the tin.
I can taste the floral notes and the peppermint in this tea. The combination of the rose and peppermint is delightful. It’s soothing to the palette and does not require much sugar to enjoy this tea. The idea to pair this tea as a white tea was ingenious and I couldn’t see this flavor profile being paired with any other tea type. With that being said, this tea does not get bitter and you cannot over steep this tea. I would say that this tea is great for a person with a sore throat or a snowy day like the ones we’ve been getting in New York City.
The Lychee Burst has lychee essence and organic, black loose-leaf tea, apricot, osmanthus and ripe pear.
This tea is no ordinary tea people. It’s strong, robust and beautiful. I love it. I love the fruity notes of lychee, peach, pear, and apricot.
This tea takes you places. It’s strong enough to turn into iced tea, yet gentle enough to be a lovely hot tea. It’s sweet and not over powering. But don’t over steep it. In the case you do, just add more water. With that being said, this tea was my favorite. Though, I wonder how the flavor profile of this tea would have turned out as a White Tea? (wink wink)
Also, I just want to also tell you that the freshness of these teas are outstanding. I know your supposed to expect all teas to be fresh, but when a company gives me fresh Teas like this, I absolutely have to make it known. These teas do not miss the mark when it comes to freshness.
